Does anyone remember the dog with rabbies who bit several of us. We were in the area of Phang Rang? We spent three weeks in the USAF hospital at Phang Rang Air Force Base. This would have been around mid to late 1970. Looking for Terry Tucker as well.

Hi Just checking in. Hope everyone is doing well and are all set for Christmas.
Don't see any names I remember, but I guess I'm getting old.

I served as Battalion Personnel Sergeant for the 84th under CWO Fred Hoopes and LTC Corley. It is odd, but most of the things I remember well are those with humor: Zero, our pet dog who eventually had two legs shot off, pet monkey Sweetpea, my jeep being stolen on New Years eve of 1967. Of course some of these are offset by the start of TET 68.

I went over with the 84th loading at Oakland on the Eltinge on a long voyage and unloading at Qui Nhon.
I have photos of the building of Qui Nhon Airport plus we built a hospital. I will reply to all emails. Very Happy

I'm the historian for the USS BENNINGTON Association and have a question for anyone who was in Qui Nhon on 26 December 1966. Question: Does anyone remember how Bob Hope and his crew and equipment got from Qui Nhon to the BENNINGTON? I know its a long time ago but one NEVER forgets Bob Hope....... Any information shared would be most appreciated. I can be reached at: jkpires@atmc.net

Thank you in advance..........
